Sony unveils Xperia M4 Aqua with 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset
Just as expected, Sony has lifted the veils off two devices at the ongoing MWC namely the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet. According to an official statement, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua will hit the shelves this Spring at $335 (299 euro) in over 80 countries and 100 carriers. while pricing for the Xperia Z4 Tablet — which comes in LTE and Wi-Fi -only variants – wasn’t known as of press time.
The Xperia M4 Aqua features a 5-inch HD touchscreen covered in scratch-resistant glass. Under the hood, you’ll find a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset and 2GB of RAM alongside 8GB of expandable storage. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports NFC, 3G, LTE and Bluetooth 4.1 amongst other connectivity pecks.
Powering the smartphone is a 2,400mAh battery. The photography is taken take of by a 13-megapixel camera and LED flash sitting at the back while a 5-megapixel selfie snapper lies in the front and then there’s an IP658-rated dust and water resistance for the handset.
