Sony Xperia Compact shows up on GFXBench, dazzles with interesting specs
Sony didn’t need anyone to tell them that they didn’t do well at all with the launch of their Xperia X handsets which had three devices in the series and the only way in which they could redeem themselves is to drop a new one that would rival the last three and then keep the already ailing market happy.
With this, they have looked to a device that has been heavily leaked as a Sony Xperia Compact and from what we have seen, this one is destined to offer the full flagship experience but on a smaller and handier smartphone.
With a recent sighting of what seems to be the smartphone on GFXBench, Sony would really do a good job of convincing the market back to their favour if they do launch a device like this. Based on design and aesthetics, this one followed well in the footsteps of the Xperia X Performance and even beats this expensive flagship by using 4GB of RAM instead of the normal 3GB found on the later version but goes on to use the same QUALCOMM snapdragon 820 chipset.
It also bears semblance to the already launched X device in that it carries a 32GB internal storage space too and while the display would be just 4.7 inches, the resolution won’t be lesser than what you would get from the X Performance. Before leaving the issue, the cameras are configured at 13MP on the rear and 8MP up front.
