Sony Xperia devices to jump from Lollipop to Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Sony, one of the world’s largest diverse brands that also specializes in the design and manufacture of its own line of smartphones, announced earlier this month that the Android Marshmallow would be coming to a list of its devices that was provided by the brand itself, although the release date of these were not provided.
Recently, new knowledge came to light that made it known that these devices that had already been selected for an upgrade are running the stock Lollipop version of Android ( 5.0) and would not be updated to the 5.1 first before going to Marshmallow. This means, in other words, that the devices would make a straight jump from basic Lollipop to Marshmallow, no in-betweens.
From Sony’s official online support pages, they have released a list of the devices that would make this straight jump from Lollipop to Marshmallow. These devices are Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia C4, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M5, Xperia Z3+, and Xperia Z4 Tablet.
It has been previously stated that Sony is yet to announce a date and as such, users should just keep hoping and praying for the updates to come soon.
