Sony Xperia E4 goes official with 5″ qHD touchscreen, redesigned body
Subsequent to last year’s Sony Xperia E3, Sony Electronics has just unveiled the Sony Xperia E4 which comes a redesigned body — rounded corners — and of course, a larger touchscreen IPS display. The midranger comes in two variations — the Sony Xperia E4 with a single micro SIM port and a Sony Xperia E4 Dual with two slots.
Key specs of Sony Xperia E4
- 5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) IPS touchscreen
- 1GB of RAM
- 1.3GHz quad-core CPU
- Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS
- 8GB of expandable storage
- 5MP main, 2MP front cameras
- Non-removable Li-Ion 2300mAh battery
There’s some confusion on what chipset Sony is using to power the Xperia E4 as the official specification on their website cites a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU (which points to a MediaTek MT6582) and Adreno 330 GPU (found on high end Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors). Furthermore, the phone boots on Android 4.4 KitKat whereas many expected Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Sony Xperia E4 comes in either white or black. No pricing is available for the phone yet, however, we won’t fail to keep you updated when they are made available.
