Sony Xperia Z4 hits FCC: Made in China?
The Sony Xperia Z4 is no doubt the veteran electronics company’s most anticipated device for 2015 and that’s why everything happening behind the scenes for this unannounced smartphone gets much media attention.
While we are awaiting an official announcement by Sony, the Xperia Z4 seems to have quietly slided past FCC a few days ago. The upcoming Sony flagship, under the codename PM-0780 was certified by the United States Federal Communications Communications recently.
The document shows the smartphone was outsourced to China — just like the rest of the iPhones, iPads — and is featuring support for a broad range of LTE bands. The device measures 146 x 73 mm. Since FCC filings don’t reveal release dates of devices, we guess the Sony Xperia Z4 might still be holding on to it’s Quarter 2 launch date.
