Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact gets Stagefright fix
While Sony is yet to launch the much anticipated update to the newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it has however wowed its loyalists by releasing an update during the week which has helped to fixed a lot of issues, most essentially launched to fix the problem of Stagefright exploit on Android mobiles.
The update was released over the air to the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact users and weighs in at around 281MB overall. This update also comes with the build number 32.0.A.6.152 and is rolling out to different parts of the world where the phone is marketed as well as to the diverse variants of the device out there.
Sony itself is yet to make any official statement about the new changes it wishes to implement with the new update but users have already taken to the XDA developers’ forum to laud the actions of Sony, giving praises about the improved camera load speed, increased responsiveness of the fingerprint scanner and an overall improvement in the general performance of their devices.
Instead of waiting for the OTA update to reach your phone before you start enjoying these new perks, you can check your Sony for PC application which would have had the update already. It is expected that the international version of the Xperia Z5 Compact which entered US markets recently through third-party sellers on Amazon would get this update too.
