T-Mobile follows AT&T’s steps, halts sales and replacements of the Note 7
There is even a much bigger problem for Samsung to take care of now as one of the carriers that supported the sale of the Galaxy Note 7 in the United States, AT&T to be precise, have decided to drop the device altogether and stop even replacing it as well as selling.
Mere hours after this announcement went live from then, it took T-Mobile little stress to also announce that they are going the same way as the former carrier and as regards this, any customer who brings in a faulty unit would not get a replacement but rather get a refund or another device from the line-up of Samsung smartphones.
This announcement may set the pace for many more to come and in the next few hours, we could be hearing of Verizon and Sprint taking the same kind of decision behind closed doors also. Note that this decision was reached after a couple of units that have been branded as safe by the South Korean OEM ended up exploding again and at this time, none of the models of this smartphone in the market are looking safe for anyone to hold.
While Samsung would lose billions on their latest flagship, it would actually do them a lot of good to recall the units once and for all.
