T-Mobile releases a list of smartphones to get the Android Nougat bump
The long wait is over and we have finally been able to see what the noise has been about the Android Nougat 7.0 and candid, the hype and wait was worth it. With the launch has come the announcement of some Nexus smartphones that would be getting the update and the thing is that those who are using smartphones manufactured by other companies would have to wait a while before they can get theirs.
The wait then becomes longer when you have purchased your own smartphone from a carrier because after the update rolls out to the users of the same version unlocked, carriers would still have to test out the compatibility of such softwares with their own devices.
However, T-Mobile has made a move to keep some of their customers happy by releasing a small list of devices that they would be bumping to the Nougat.
This list was dominated by HTC and Samsung phones only and while only a select set of devices were selected, we are confident that more would get added to it in the feature.
The smartphones listed are HTC 10, HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The carrier has just entered the Manufacturer Development stage which means that we are not likely to see this push to the listed smartphones anytime soon.
