Tecno Phantom Pad Mini, Tecno D9 and Tecno S5 hit the shelves in time for Christmas shopping
Tecno has unveiled two Android smartphones and a tablet.
Tecno D9 sports a massive 6.0″ IPS display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The phablet has an 8-megapixel camera in the back and a 5MP up front.
The D9 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and a user-removable 2450mAh Li-Ion battery. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Tecno S5 is an mid-range smartphone with 4.5 inches of IPS touchscreen at 480 x 854 pixels. The device features 5MP rear and 1.2MP front-facing cameras. With a battery capacity of 1800mAh, Tecno S5 runs 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
on a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and 512MB RAM.
Tecno Phantom Pad Mini is a 7″ tablet. The TFT display on the tablet has 256,000 colors so you won’t be expecting much display clarity on this ‘mini’ tablet. To make up for this, the screen resolution was raised as high as 800 x 1200 pixels, summing for a 272 PPI when added and subtracted with it’s 7 inches of physical screen size. Now, 206 PPI isn’t bad for a tablet, in fact it’s far above
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.7.0’s 170 PPI number the average pixels per inch figure for 2013 tablets.
The Phantom Pad Mini, modeled as Tecno P9, is powered by a huge 4000mAh battery which Tecno claims can withstand 500 hours of stand by. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389 processor and 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
