TENAA clears Asus Zenfone Zoom, device to be officially launched by December 1
Earlier this year, smartphone manufacturer ASUS had unveiled alongside the original Zenfone 2 a camera based smartphone named the Zenfone Zoom at an IFA event in Berlin, the device release was however delayed and halted due to some unknown reasons and never made it into the market since the unveiling.
The good news is that the device is on its way to official launching and market availability as it was spotted on TENAA a Chinese certification authority website earlier today. The Asus Zenfone Zoom smartphone comes with a Full HD 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels powered by Quad core Intel Z3580 chipset clocked at the speed of 2.3GHz. The smartphone also comes with what seems to be a distinctive characteristic of the Zenfone line which is the three capacitive buttons and spots a metallic chin.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom comes in variants of 2GB and 4GB RAM, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage memory size and also there may be a 128GB of in-built storage memory variant of the smartphone which comes with a microSD slot and support for expandable memory of up to 64GB.
The TENAA-cleared version of the device however spots 4GB of RAM and has a 32GB of in-built storage size with a 13MP rear facing camera made by HOYA equipped with the OIS feature and having a f/2.0 aperture which improves it’s performance in low light and a 5MP front facing camera. The 11.95mm slim device also spots a 3X Optical zoom module and is scheduled for official launch in an event on 1st of December. Market pricing and availability outside India is yet to be confirmed by the company.
