Video: Watch Oukitel K4000 take on a hammer
The Oukitel brand can be said to be fresh in the market — but that doesn’t take away the fact that these guys have massive experience in the manufacture of smartphones over the years. Shenzhen Oukitel has been (and still remains) the coreline OEM for several smartphone brands you see in the market today — no wonder their smartphones are some of the must rugged ones you’ll see in the shelves.
One of the company’s latest affordable midragde smartphones, the Oukitel K4000, was recently made to face a sledge hammer to test the strength of the screen.
In the above video, you can see the smartphone (and of course the screen) coming out unscathed from the hammer attack.
In terms of pricing, the Oukitel K4000 costs about $120 US dollars. The smatphone comes with a 5-inch HD toushcreen display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and a 64-bit quad-core processor.
The handset is powered by an adequate 4000mAh battery and also features a combo of an 8MP rear and 2MP front camera sensors as well as a LED flash for photography. There’s LTE connectivity and a dual SIM slot on board also.
