Watch new “Steve Jobs” movie trailer
On October 9th, the world will have another look inside the life of a legend. A man who lived for innovation and eventually changed the world with his works.
While the first two movies about Jobs didn’t emphasize on the former Apple boss’ 2007 introduction of the Apple iPhone (and Apple iPad) — which was hugely criticized by some sections of the crowd — the new “Steve Jobs” movie, based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs and scripted by Aaron Sorkin, will highlight the two events which the whole world gratefully knows the man for.
Universal, which bought the rights to shoot the film from Sony for $30 million, started shooting in January inside the famous garage where Steve Wozniak said Apple really wasn’t born. Nonetheless, the new movie will perpetuate the myth starting October 9th when the film opens. If you’re looking for a mystical sign that the movie will be a hit, that date happens to be the birthday of slain Beatle John Lennon, one of Jobs’ heroes.
Steve Jobs was the CEO of Apple until 2011 when he handed over to his pal and co-Appler Tim Cook with a famous quote: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”
Jobs eventually lost his life on a fateful October 5, 2011 afternoon, after years of battle with cancer.
