Welcome the Samsung Galaxy A7, the latest unreleased device that popped up at GFXBench
For some weeks running (if not months), we’ve been hearing whispers of Samsung A smartphones which are reportedly to come looking like the recently-released Samsung Galaxy Alpha, only more affordable.
Now, the largest member of the Galaxy A family (the Samsung SM-A700 aka Samsung Galaxy A7) has been spotted at the benchmarks, GFXBench to be precise. And you know what that mean? It means we get to learn more about the internals of the smartphone.
According to the GFXBench listing, the phone comes with a 5.2-inch display and 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution. Now, it’s clear that earlier reports have been lying — having said the phone has a 5.5″ screen, or that Samsung has shifted the plans, or even, that this GFXBench is cooked.
Either way, the phone was posted as having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip, alongside a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU and Adreno 405 graphics. There’s 2GB of RAM, 12MP main camera (13MP approximately) and 5MP front-side snapper. The unannounced device is having an NFC module, and a single SIM slot is available.
