Windows Phone is all pain and no gain — Huawei blasts Microsoft
Very few people knew when Huawei was selling their first Windows-powered smartphones. However, the big telecommunications company of China is now blaming Microsoft for pitching an ecosystem whereby OEMs don’t profit when they use Windows Phone OS for their mobile phones.
Huawei isn’t joking when head of international affairs, Joe Kelly, rattle out during an interview with Seattle Times, “we didn’t make any money in Windows Phone.” As if to say that Windows is a dead end, he continued, “Nobody made any money in Windows Phone.”
Huawei recently announced it has “shocking products” in tow but with this kind of news, any hope for a possible partnership has been ground to zero.
