Windows Phone Store now has over 300k apps, 50% growth in 6 months
Microsoft is burning the headlines once again and this time it isn’t about unsold Surface tablets or routine sacking of Nokia workers — it’s about a new development after all.
In June, we told you that the Microsoft Windows Phone Store had 225,000 apps. Within a space of six months (January 2014 to July 2014), Microsoft through incentives and natural growth of the Windows Phone community, has grown the apps to over 300,000, that’s about 50% growth.
Microsoft also said that the number of registered developers on the Store has grown by 50 percent from the last year.
“We have more than 300,000 Windows Phone apps today and the Windows Phone Store continues to grow. In the past year alone the …the number of active developers has grown by 50 percent.”
