X-Men’s Wolverine signs on for Micromax
No it’s not fiction. Hugh Jackman, the Hollywood actor popularly known for his leading role in the 2000’s X-Men movies, has signed with Indian phone manufacturer, Micromax, as brand ambassador, for another year.
Wolverine — a character Jackman played in the X-Men — was welcomed to the Micromax bandwagon last year and it seems his role in promoting the company’s image is working as planned so Micromax decided to give the actor another one year contract.
Hugh Jackman is expected to shoot a ‘movie’ for Micromax which will be featured in TV commercials et al. Micromax is reportedly ready to untag itself from the ‘cheap brand’ chains and expand it’s horizon’s beyond India, thus the endorsement with the Actor.
The deal, though not specified in numbers, was said to be more expensive than any signed by an Indian company of recent but with it, Micromax is doing well to blend in with it’s new celebrity status after undoing Samsung in homeland India.
