Xiaomi appoints new executive to head it’s Indian operations
Xiaomi has hired a new a new head for their activities in India which is set to commence soon. The appointment hasn’t been made officially public as of the time of writing this.
Manu Kumar Jain, the man in the spotlight, is the co-founder of e-commerce website Jabong where he worked until earlier this year.
Xiaomi might produce some of it’s phones in India, it’s seems, but that doesn’t look quite likely. The appointment of the new CEO who hasn’t headed a phone making outfit does not give such hint.
Manu Kumar Jain isn’t such a newcomer in the phone business. After he left Jabong, he began gathering Chines OEMs from China who would manufacture super cheap phones under his brand name after which the phones will be sold in India.
