Xiaomi could be working on a successor to the MI Mix already
The Xiaomi Mi Mix came into the market at a point in time when we really needed an innovation, and four months down the line, there are rumours that we could have a sibling for the nearly bezel-less design.
As at the time when the MI Mix was launched, it also inspired Huawei to launch the Honor Magic and in a matter of time, we expect to see more devices inspired by this unit. To inspire themselves to keep pushing the barrier, if this leak is on the money, then we are looking at yet another bezel-less smartphone.
Expected to be called the MI Mix II at the time of launch, the leak is nearly official, coming via a Weibo post from the CEO of the company, Lei Jun. From the post put out on Weibo, it is clear that the same designer who worked on the MI Mix, Phillipe Starck, would also be employed to work on this one.
For specs, we have nothing to hold on to as of now, but we have heard that Xiaomi is gunning for a 93% screen-to-body ratio this time around. For now, only time would tell.
