Xiaomi launches Indian website, finds new sales rep in Taiwan
Xiaomi seems to be seriously firing the throttle with it’s global outreach campaign.
In India, the China-based phone manufacturer has launched it’s web portal for the Asian country. Phone sales will probably be carried out exclusively on the website located at http://www.mi.com/in/.
Last week, Xiaomi appointed Manu Jain, a former e-commerce expert, as manager for it’s anticipated Indian business that will start up very soon.
A little east on the map, Xiaomi is seen striking deals in Taiwan where they just reached an agreement with a retailer called PChome for marketing Xiaomi phones in the Taiwanese market.
“Our cooperation with PChome will be a new attempt to create a better user experience by two major e commerce platforms,” Xiaomi President Bin Lin said.
“PChome has many e-commerce innovations and is worth learning from,” he added.
