Xiaomi launches the very cheap, 5.5 inches Redmi Note 4 variants in China
Xiaomi didn’t fail to deliver on their promise, and they really did let us see the Redmi Note 4 smartphone yesterday. They brought out the Note from its box, displayed it to us in all of its full glory and gave us a standard list to all those elusive specs that we have been chasing down for a while.
Enough chit chat and let’s get to the business. It uses one of MediaTek’s high end processors – the Helio X20 chipset which has a massive ten cores and clocks up to a speed of 2.1GHz. Under the 5.5 inch of full HD display would be a memory and CPU RAM configuration that is different according to the variant that you have opted for. There is one that comes with 2GB of RAM and has just 16GB of internal storage space while the other one has 3GB RAM while using a 64GB space to store media files. Both variants would be powered by a battery of 4100mAh, have a 13MP snapper on the back and use a 5MP camera on the front too. Somewhere around the back and below the camera setup is a nice fingerprint scanner.
They really didn’t forget the biometrics on this one, and this is proof that it is a Marshmallow device.
As regards pricing, the smaller 2GB/16GB model has been released at RMB 899 ($135) in China while the bigger 3GB/64GB model would cost some RMB 1199 ($180). Starting from today, the devices would be up for grabs from various platforms, one of such being the company’s official website.
