Xiaomi Mi 5 gets price cut in China across all variants
It has been six months now since the official announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and now, the smartphone has gotten its first major price cut in India. For all models of the MI 5, the company has reduced their prices by a total of RMB 200 which means that it would get a rebate of about $30 when comparing with the recent exchange rates.
Currently, we have more than one variant of the Mi 5 which makes the price cut even more significant. For example, the variant that has a CPU of 3GB RAM and an internal storage memory of 32GB now goes for just RMB 1799 while the variant that keeps the 3GB RAM but expands on the storage by going to 64GB now sells for RMB 2099. For the most top tier of the series which comes at 4GB of RAM and with 128GB of internal storage, you would now need to shell out cash in the neighbourhood of RMB 2499.
Asides from the Mi 5, thee Xiaomi Redmi 3x also has a price cut by RMB 100, setting it on a price level of RMB 799 right now.
