Xiaomi poised to sell 10000 Red Rice in Taiwan
Xiaomi has boasted it will sell 10,000 units of it’s entry-level Red Rice smartphone in Taiwan during it’s December 9 program that will see the phone selling at TWD 3999 in HTC’s home country.
The Red Rice has really been doing amazing things in sales recently, it sold 100,000 units in it’s first 4 minutes of availability as a WCDMA phone(it was originally released with TD-SCDMA support). Xiaomi also pulled a hat trick when it sold 100k units of the Mi-3 in 86 seconds last month.
Xiaomi Red Rice is actually too good to be true for it’s $130 normal market price, and that has been the secret behind it’s success considering this phone has a 4.7″ HD Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display, 1.5GHz quad-core MTK MT6589T processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear and 1.3MP front-facing cameras, 4GB inbuilt memory with memory card slot and 2000mAh battery.
