Xiaomi Redmi 1S to go on sale (for the last time) on December 8th, no signup required
Despite bringing it’s newer Redmi Note into the country, Xiaomi is still going to sell the Redmi 1s smartphone one more time in India. The Chinese phone maker has announced that no pre-registeration will be required for the flash sale which will hold on Monday, 8th December 2014. Interestingly, the company is known to schedule most of it’s sales on Tuesdays.
During the Monday sale, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be sold for INR 5,999 which roughly translates to $97 using the current exchange rates. The event will be exclusively held online on India’s most popular e-commerce platform, Flipkart.
For the books, the Redmi 1S holds together 1 gig of RAM paired with a quad-core processor Snapdragon 400 processor, 4.7-inch 720p display and an 8MP camera with LED flash. The smartphone runs on a modified version of Google Android software and is powered by a 2000mAh battery unit.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is going to hold another sale the next day (Tuesday, 9th December 2014) for the Redmi Note. The smartphone is priced INR 8,999 ($146) in India.
