Xiaomi Redmi 5 with 4GB RAM available
Chinese smartphone company, Xiaomi, has officially launched the Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone for sale.
The smartphone which was released in China with the 2GB RAM and 16GB of ROM variant widely in circulation has gotten a much more improved and bumped up variant which comes with 4GB of RAM.
Recall that the Redmi 5 originally came in two memory configuration variants of 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, and 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, the latets released variant however comes into market packing 4GB RAM although the onboard storage memory space was not further expanded keeping it at 32GB.
However, the extra 1GB of RAM on the latest variant will come priced at an additional CNY 200 which is about $31 or €25 which brings the total cost of the latest variant to CNY 1,099 ( about $173 or €139).
As for specs, the Redmi 5 with 4GB of RAM which is available in black, gold, or blue color options comes packing a 5.7-inch display with a display resolution of 1,440 x 720 on its 18:9 aspect ration touchscreen.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and for the optics comes packing a 12MP main camera paired with 5MP sensor up front and lit up by a 3,300 mAh battery.
