Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 pictured?
Xiaomi is a name which will normally not cause any stir when mentioned as of around this time last year, but following massive successes of their lowly-priced yet mostly-out-of-stock smartphones around Asia, competitors are now wary of the “Apple of China” whenever they are mentioned. Even the real Apple recently called out the Chinese company to desist from “copying”.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is planning to release the sequel to their Redmi Note smartphone and word is that the upcoming device (Xiaomi Redmi Note 2) will be having a 5.5″ QHD display, 64-bit MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP/8MP rear/front camera unit and will begin at $165 for the 64GB version.
However, a story carried by our friends at MyDrivers suggest the above render might depict the back of the upcoming Note 2 phone. Where the confusion lies is that the device in the picture doesn’t look anything like the one posted some weeks ago by VR Zone Blog. Someone even suggested the new picture looks too much like the Redmi 1s and our fear is that it might end up being one.
Xiaomi hasn’t made any official announcement concerning the Redmi Note 2 but we promise to bring you any gist about the smartphone that comes in our way.
