Xiaomi sold 800,000 Redmi Note 2 units in 12 hours
Following Xiaomi’s launching of their latest Redmi phablet last week, the Chinese phone maker announced that it had sold more than 800,000 units of the smartphone less than 12 hours later.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, albeit smaller and cheaper, was unveiled on the same day Samsung Electronics officially took the veils off the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus but as it stands now, the Chinese Note has taken more shine than the Samsung phones.
Sporting a price tag of approximately $125 in China, the Redmi 2 will go on sale once again on August 24. This time, the sales are expected to be enormous but not as ferocious as the first batch.
