ZTE unveils it’s crowdsourced smartphone – Hawkeye – at CES 2017

January 18, 2017

ZTE attended the CES event for this year, and they made sure that they did not leave the place till they had made a statement of their own. The first thing they did was put the Honor 6x from Huawei on the edge with their announcement of the Blade V8 and asides this, they also made known one new device which could be taken to be the fan’s design.

Earlier last year, ZTE started to cook up a crowdsourced idea based on what their users would want, and they even agreed to use whatever name got the highest votes. Well, what has been a prototype up until now has materialised, and it has some specs to be considered too.
Named the ZTE Hawkeye, ZTE has leaked the specs for this unit by themselves, and we can now see what they have for us. Expected to run on the latest Android Nougat out of the box, the Hawkeye would have a single 8MP camera on the front and dual rear cameras of 12MP and 13MP ratings.
With 5.5 inch of display developed with 1080p technology, there would be some QUALCOMM snapdragon 625 processors under those beautiful screens and 3GB of RAM paired with an internal storage space of 32GB.
Drawing power from a 3000mAh battery, the back is adorned with a fingerprint scanner and the phone has support for Dual SIM technology. Supposed to be priced at $199, these specs would surely give any cheap phone a run for their money.
