ZUK’s Android 6.0 update teaser suggest there may be a 16GB variant coming soon
Lenovo-backed company, ZUK is back in the news. The smartphone company announced its diets product earlier in the year and promotions has been ongoing to get the market’s fancy, with two variants of the first product, the ZUK Z1, the smartphone company later launched the ‘Oak Edition’. The original ZUK Z1 variants being distinguished mainly as the Chinese and International variant is differentiated by the custom UI on top of the Android OS it operates on with the international variant shipping with a Cyanogen OS while the Chinese variant ships with the company’s own ZUI interface.
The company has also confirmed it’ll be rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its users soon with the company’s co-foubde Chen Yu teasing fans with the news on his official Weibo page. In the teaser which shows a ZUK Z1 running on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, it is also noticed that the device in the teaser spots a 16GB of internal storage memory against the usual know 64GB variant of the smartphone which was originally released and this leads to rumours that suggest the company might be out to release just another variant of the ZUK Z1 device.
Notably, the ZUK Z1 has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and posted by a Quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset along with the Adreno 330 GPU with a 13MP rear facing camera and an 8MP front facing camera. The device is equipped with 3GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 64GB with a non-removable 4,100mAh battery in the pack.
